History

He was not even 30 years old when he founded the Deloitte company in London in 1845, becoming the very first independent auditor and ultimately the historically oldest active auditor. William Welch Deloitte, our founding father, had a vision back then about how the Deloitte brand would one day be known worldwide.

Deloitte in Slovakia

1991

We open our first office in Bratislava with five employees.
1995

We focus not only on auditing but also on tax consulting.
1998

We now have 100 employees and provide various consulting services.
2000

We are expanding and opening a branch in Košice.
2004

Deloitte & Touche is globally changing to Deloitte – the brand is characterized by a green dot.
2010

We establish a separate law firm, Deloitte Legal.
2013

We open our third branch in Žilina.
2019

We now have more than 300 employees.
2021

We celebrate our 30th anniversary of operating in Slovakia. We are one of the most significant firms in the industry.
